A window onto the past...

Your journey starts with a visit to the Naval Museum of Mahébourg, bearing testimony to the naval battle between the French and the British fleets at Vieux Grand Port in 1810.

Then, hop on a boat to Ile aux Aigrettes nature reserve located off the mainland. Back on the mainland, visit the local village of Mahébourg and discover its many attractions including its traditional biscuit factory famous for its "cassava" cookies.
